I think you can tell the type of person I am based on the movies I love, so here is a list of videos I have on my shelf. I have more movies, they just aren't on THE SHELF:

Clerks
Stuff: Writer/Director Kevin Smith's first and in my opinoin, best film. Two sarcastic clerks talk, defend themselves against a mob of smokers, play hockey, attend a funeral, and talk some more. There's also a love story: Dante has to choose between two girlfriends. There's also Jay and Silent Bob... don't get me started on them!
People in the movie: Brian O'Halloran: Dante Hicks, Jeff Anderson: Randal Graves, Jason Mewes: Jay, Kevin Smith: Silent Bob
Estimated Number of Viewings: 12

Mallrats
Stuff: Kevin Smith's second film where he disappointed the critics. Mallrats was too immature for them, but not for me. Two guy's love problems are solved at the mall. There's lots of crazy antics (Jay and Silent Bob), comic books, and nudity.
People in the movie: Jeremy London: T.S. Quint, Jason Lee: Brodi Bruce, Shannen Doherty: Rene Mosier, Ben Affleck: Shannon Hamilton, Stan Lee: himself, Jason Mewes: Jay, Kevin Smith: Silent Bob
Estimated Number of Viewings: 11

Chasing Amy
Stuff: The third Kevin Smith movie, and the one where Silent Bob has a whole scene of talking. Affleck plays a comic book artist who falls in love with a lesbian with a messed up past. There's a lot of homosexuality in here: Alyssa (obviously), but also Banky and Hooper X. The critics loved this movie, making them revere Kevin again and forget about Mallrats.
People in the movie: Ben Affleck: Holden McNeil, Joey Lauren Adams: Alyssa "Fingercuffs" Jones, Jason Lee: Banky Edwards, Dwight Ewell: Hooper LaMont, Jason Mewes: Jay, Kevin Smith: Silent Bob
Estimated Number of Viewings: 3
Claim to Derek Fame: Best Dialogue About Archie Ever

Dogma
Stuff: The fourth installment of Kevin's New Jersey Series features Jay and Silent Bob in their biggest role until the next movie comes out. It is about how the last known descendant of Christ is called upon to save the existence of humanity from being destroyed by two renegade angels trying to exploit a loophole in Catholic Dogma.
People in the movie: Ben Affleck: Bartleby, Matt Damon: Loki, Linda Fiorentino: Bethany Sloane, Chris Rock: Rufus, Salma Hayek: Serendipity, Alan Rickman: Metatron, Alanis Morissette: God, Jason Lee: Azrael, Jason Mewes: Jay, Kevin Smith: Silent Bob
Estimated Number of Viewings: 4

A Night At The Roxbury
Stuff: SNL's head-bobbing Butabi brothers get a movie where they attempt to do business with a night club owner, lose their virginity, and get into a fight. It may not be a movie you have to think hard during but its got killer lines that I laugh at everytime I see it.
People in the movie: Chris Katan: Doug Butabi, Will Ferrel: Steve Butabi, Richard Grieco: himself, Molly Shannon: Emily Sanderson, Lochlyn Monroe: Craig
Estimated Number of Viewings: 12
Claim to Derek Fame: Best Story Told About Emilio Estavez

Superstar
Stuff: This SNL incarnation is probably the worst SNL movie ever, but how can I say no to putting it on the shelf. I love Kids in the Hall and two of them were involved (Bruce McCulluch directed, Mark McKinney played Father Ritley) It has some great stuff in it! "My parents were brutally ripped apart and eaten by a school of hammerhead sharks." "Oh, that happens a lot."
"Hey Evian, why don't you go drink a bottle of yourself!"
But my favorite funny is how the only type of car in the entire movie's a green Volkswagon Bug.
People in the movie: Molly Shannon: Mary Katherine Gallagher, Will Ferrel: Sky Corrigan/Jesus, Elaine Hendrix: Evian Graham, Harland Williams: Eric Slater
Estimated Number of Viewings: 6
Claim to Derek Fame: Best Background Gag: Green Volkswagon Bug

The Matrix
Stuff: I don't know how to explain it, its just a kickass movie. Some people say its visual effects made it what it was, but a movie can't stand on visual effects alone. To you people like that(Matt and Bill): You suck, the movie was cool!
People in the movie: Keanu Reeves: Thomas Anderson/Neo, Laurence Fishburne: Morpheus, Carrie-Anne Moss: Trinity, Hugo Weaving: Agent Smith
Estimated Number of Viewings: 10
Claim to Derek Fame: Best Fictional Action Movie

South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut
Stuff: There's no way you can get through this movie without laughing. It is hilarious. Not only that, but Trey Parker is a genius. He writes all that music stuff! He was a musical prodigy and music was his thing before he started making cartoons. They always say Trey Parker and Matt Stone together, but y'know Trey does all the work. Matt does the voice for Kyle, Trey does like all the others. Its like Trey's the talented one, Matt's the moochin' friend.
People in the movie: Trey Parker: Stan/Cartman/Satan/lots more, Matt Stone: Kyle/Kenny, Mary Kay Bergman: female voices, Isaac Hayes: Chef
Estimated Number of Viewings: 9

Airforce One
Stuff: More people should talk about this movie. It was great. I actually saw it twice in theaters! This movie made me feel for them and had lots of action and suspense. Everything I wanted in it.
People in the movie: Harrison Ford: President Jim Marshall, Gary Oldman: Egor Korshunov, Glenn Close: Vice President Kathryn Bennett, Wendy Crewson: Grace Marshall, Liesel Matthews: Alice Marshall
Estimated Number of Viewings: 8

Mission: Impossible
Stuff: I saw it once and thought it was great. I made a parody of it using The Simpsons. That was a funny comic book. I saw it again and I understood it, lol. The movie is awesome, makes you think.
People in the movie: Tom Cruise: Ethan Hunt, Jon Voight: Jim Phelps, Ving Rhames: Luther Stickell
Estimated Number of Viewings: 8

Mission: Impossible 2
Stuff: I loved Mission: Impsossible so I went and saw this. It is totally different than M:I, but still good. This requires movie little thinking. "Only thing to remember: Chimera = Bad". I love both Mission's, but in differen't ways.
People in the movie: Tom Cruise: Ethan Hunt, Thandie Newton: Nyah Nordoff-Hall, Dougray Scott: Sean Ambrose, Ving Rhames: Luther Stickell
Estimated Number of Viewings: 7

X-Men
Stuff: I really wanted to buy a DVD so I did, and it was X-Men. Although its not the best movie (feel free to point out that none of the movies on the list are going to be called the best ever, but you don't go to movies for the best, you go to be entertained, fools!), it is a cool and entertaining movie.
People in the movie: Hugh Jackman: Wolverine, Patrick Stewart: Prof. Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen: Magneto, Famke Janssen: Jean Grey, James Marsden: Cyclops, Halle Berry: Storm, Anna Paquin: Rogue, Tyler Mane: Sabretooth, Ray Park: Toad, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos: Mystique
Estimated Number of Viewings: 4
Claim to Derek Fame: A jab at myself for this winning a sarcastic "Best Movie Ever"

Me Myself & Irene
Stuff: It is a grand movie from those Farrelly brothers about two guys in love with the same woman, but there's a twist: the two guys are the same guy. Charlie suffers from and I figure I've done my part for this comment by finding that writing it down.
People in the movie: Jim Carrey: Charlie Baileygates/Hank Evans, Renée Zellweger: Irene P. Waters, Michael Bowman: Casper, Traylor Howard: Layla, Tony Cox: Shonte the limo driver
Estimated Number of Viewings: 3
Claim to Derek Fame: Michael Bowman for Best Albino

Election
Stuff: I hadn't seen it when I bought it, which normally isn't a good thing, but luckily Election was a good thing, and it earns a point on the shelf for the very well done emphasis on lines that have nothing to do with anything, then bringing them up later and it being funny. Examples: Apples and Oranges (and Bananas), and Coke vs. Pepsi.
People in the movie: Matthew Broderick: Jim McAllister, Reese Witherspoon: Tracey Flick, Delaney Driscoll: Linda Novotny, Molly Hagan: Diane McAllister
Estimated Number of Viewings: 6
Claim to Derek Fame: Best Use of Irreverant Material

Dumb and Dumber
Stuff: This movie is great on so many levels. It starts out being funny... there's obvious jokes, the ones directly involving the plot, but after seeing it again and trading quotes with friends there's lot of other quotes which are also great and we just laugh and laugh.
People in the movie: Jim Carrey: Lloyd Christmas, Jeff Daniels: Harry Dunne, Lauren Holly: Mary Swanson, Mike Starr: Joe Mentalino
Estimated Number of Viewings: 12

Billy Madison
Stuff: This is the best Adam Sandler movie and its also the easiest to memorize. Some people don't like watching the movie with me because I'm always saying the funny lines, but then again, the only people I watch it with are people that also know the entire movie.
People in the movie: Adam Sandler: Billy Madison, Bridgette Wilson: Veronica Vaughn, Bradley Whitford: Eric Gordon, Josh Mostel: Max Anderson, Norm Macdonald: Frank, Mark Beltzman: Jack, Darren McGavin: Brian Madison
Estimated Number of Viewings: 12

People in the movie: Adam Sandler: Happy Gilmore, Christopher McDonald: Shooter McGavin, Julie Bowen: Virginia Venit, Frances Bay: Grandma Gilmore, Carl Weathers: Chubbs Peterson
Estimated Number of Viewings: 10

Idle Hands
Stuff: Same old story: boy meets hot girl, lazy pot-smoking boy gets hand possessed by the devil, boy cuts off hand, hand tries to take hot girl into another world... I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention, I was looking at Jessica Alba in her angel costume.
People in the movie: Devon Sawa: Anton, Jessica Alba: Molly, Seth Green: Mick, Elden Ratliff: Pnub, Steve Van Wormer: Curtis, Vivica A. Fox: Debi
Estimated Number of Viewings: 6
Claim to Derek Fame: Best Jessica Alba Movie

High School High
Stuff: Jon Lovitz is such a great guy! I love him on The Critic and now I get to watch his zany humor in High School High, which is (duh!) great!
People in the movie: Jon Lovitz: Richard Clark, Tia Carrere: Victoria Chapell, Louise Fletcher: Evelyn Doyle, Mekhi Phifer: Griff McReynolds, Malinda Williams: Natalie Thompson, Brian Hooks: Anferny
Estimated Number of Viewings: 7
Claim to Derek Fame: Best Jon Lovitz Movie

Goldeneye
Stuff: This is the best Bond movie. The video game may have helped it out a teeny bit, but seriously: best Bond movie. Seeings how Bond's cool in my book the best Bond movie gets on the shelf.
People in the movie: Peirce Brosnan: James Bond, Sean Bean: Alec Trevelyan, Izabella Scorupco: Natalya Simonova, Famke Janssen: Xenia Onatopp
Estimated Number of Viewings: 10
Claim to Derek Fame: Best Bond Movie

World Is Not Enough
Stuff: The movie's fun to watch. Not to mention more movies need submarine scenes with Denise Richards in a white shirt.
People in the movie: Peirce Brosnan: James Bond, Sophie Marceau: Elektra King, Robert Carlyle: Renard, Denise Richards: Christmas Jones
Estimated Number of Viewings: 7
Claim to Derek Fame: Best Submarine Scene, Most Improbable Bad Guy: Renard

The Back to the Future Trilogy
Stuff: I love this series. History has the tendency to repeat itself, and all the characters look the same, but hey, why would I complain? The first one's my favorite in the series.
People in the movie: Michael J. Fox: Marty McFly, Christopher Lloyd: Doc Emmett Brown, Lea Thompson: Lorraine Baines (McFly), Crispin Glover: George Douglas McFly, Thomas Wilson: Biff Tannen, Claudia Wells: Jennifer Parker
Estimated Number of Viewings: 16

The Indiana Jones Trilogy
Stuff: Greatest trilogy. Harrison Ford is great. The movies are all incredibly great. I just wish they'd make some more. They keep saying Speilberg, Ford, and Lucas are too busy. If they keep it up Ford'll be too old and they'll get someone else. I definitely don't want some one else. That's why I dislike the Young Indiana Jones movies. Shorty cracks me up.
People in the movie: Harrison Ford: Dr. Henry "Indiana" Jones, Jr., Sean Connery: Prof. Henry Jones, Sr., Denholm Elliott: Marcus Brody, Jonathan Ke Quan: Shorty
Estimated Number of Viewings: 11
Claim to Derek Fame: Best Action Trilogy

The Star Wars Series
Stuff: This is a great series, so inventive and such great ideas. I'm kinda suspicious Georgy boy didn't mean to put all that spiritual meaning stuff in on purpose, and as Randal proved on Clerks The Cartoon there are lots of errors in Episode 1. I'll leave it like that, because I'm really not obsessed with it. I'm more the Simpsons-obsessive type.
People in the movie: Mark Hamill: Luke Skywalker, Harrison Ford: Han Solo, Carrie Fisher: Princess Leia, Peter Mayhew: Chewbacca, Anthony Daniels: C-3PO, Kenny Baker: R2-D2, Frank Oz: Yoda, Alec Guinness: Obi-Wan Kenobi
Estimated Number of Viewings: 8
